Privacy Policy for Beautistics

Effective date: 1 January 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Beautistics ("the App") processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).

1. Data Controller

The data controller responsible for processing personal data in connection with the App is:

2. Information We Process

User-Generated Inventory Data:
Data that you voluntarily enter into the App (such as product names, brands, dates, prices, notes, ratings, and related inventory information).

Authentication Data:
The App uses Firebase Authentication. Authentication providers may process your email address and account identifiers for login purposes. The developer does not independently collect or store your email address outside of Firebase Authentication systems.

Technical Data:
Device information, crash logs, and performance diagnostics may be processed to maintain and improve the App.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Article 6)

Personal data is processed on the following legal grounds:

• Article 6(1)(b) – Performance of a Contract: Processing inventory and authentication data is necessary to provide the core functionality of the App, including account access and synchronization.
• Article 6(1)(f) – Legitimate Interests: Technical and diagnostic data may be processed to ensure security, prevent misuse, and improve stability and user experience.
• Article 6(1)(a) – Consent: Where applicable (e.g., optional features), processing is based on your consent, which may be withdrawn at any time.

4. Data Storage and Transfers

Data is stored using Google Firebase infrastructure. Firebase services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

Where personal data is transferred internationally, such transfers are conducted in accordance with GDPR Chapter V, including appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

5. Third-Party Processors

The App relies on the following processors:

• Google Firebase – authentication and cloud database infrastructure
• Google Play Services – app distribution and in-app review functionality

6. Data Retention

Inventory data is retained for as long as your account remains active. You may delete your data within the App at any time.

Upon deletion of your account, associated cloud data will be permanently removed in accordance with Firebase data handling procedures.

If you are located in the European Union, you have the following rights:

8. Data Security

Appropriate technical and organizational measures are implemented to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.

The App is not directed to children under 13 years of age and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
